Join us (Robby and Paul) as we take a holiday that will soar us to new and different heights of excitement, joy and alarm; create pictures that will be surreal, colourful and oh so real and where the vastness of the world will enlighten our knowing. This is a journey in the making. For me (Robby) four years ago when my work offered a 4 for 5 deal where on the 5th year you can take a year off (conditions applied of course). For Paul, the mystery and excitement of a long term holiday, triggered by the possibility of visiting exotic regions where nature is at its best is a tantaslising option. So now the trip is unfolding. After several postponements, we are off on Friday 13 April to South Amercia followed by parts of Europe and India. Around 7 months! Well at least that's the plan at the moment.

Good morning impending meanderers. We hope that this will be the first of many communications whizzing through cyber space. Your first entry shows real potential to keep us on track and up to date on your adventures. The inspiring journey that you are embarking upon will give many of us inspiration to abandon those day to day shackles and discover a new dimension of life. OH AND OF COURSE HAVING 12 MONTHS!!!!! HOLIDAY LEAVE
Hey Fellie and Murr, dreams can become realities. You have a great time in New Caledonia.
Swallows Travel To and Fro
SWALLOWS travel to and fro,
And the great winds come and go,
And the steady breezes blow,
Bearing perfume, bearing love.
Breezes hasten, swallows fly,
Towered clouds forever ply,
And at noonday, you and I
See the same sunshine above.
Dew and rain fall everywhere,
Harvests ripen, flowers are fair,
And the whole round earth is bare
To the moonshine and the sun;
And the live air, fanned with wings,
Bright with breeze and sunshine, brings
Into contact distant things,
And makes all the countries one.
Let us wander where we will,
Something kindred greets us still;
Something seen on vale or hill
Falls familiar on the heart;
So, at scent or sound or sight,
Severed souls by day and night
Tremble with the same delight -
Tremble, half the world apart.
Robert Louis Stevenson.
Great to hear of your wonderful plans. Wish I was going. Except 3's a crowd!
One sleep to go and the adventure begins! I'm looking forward to following your travels through yourblog and whatever other communication means we can use. Have a wonderful time.
Well, you think you have been whooping it up with your adventures across the globe...we've been to Byron Bay and Foster so there!!
It's hard to believe you have only experienced a few days so far.It all sounds absolutely wonderful and so exciting.Don't those little things like the mystery of not knowing what you have ordered and trying to find a simple thing like a screw make it a really fun adventure? We (actually me,Deb)am soooo envious I would love to just hop on plane and go. Stay safe and keep having fun. All is well here. Helen left a message to say she moved in on the weekend.
Love to both of you.

Your blog is a great read , very informative and descriptive, I feel we are experiencing the sights , the tastes, the smells and the altitude sickness.
Everyone is fine here, Helen loves your house and North Avoca.
John & Maureen are having a Anzac day BBQ followed by the complusory 2 up game which could be interesting.
Keep the "ramblings" coming and we wish you safe and wonderful experiences.
Love
